Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me (Psalms 23)

A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. (Psalms 91)

Famous verses but much more meaningful and personal to us now.

Being in the High Dependency (HD) ward, there are other rooms to the left and right of us. Other patients come in and go every few days, and some really go ...

But we hang on to the Word of God, and persevere on, and continue to trust in His miracle healing.

On a slightly lighter note, the doctors classified Shufen's case as DIL (dangerous illness) becos of the treatment she is going through, not the condition she is in. Which probably explains why we are still in the HD ward. The HD ward is really a comfortable place compared to normal ward, lots of space, privacy, comfort, and newly renovated too :)

plus becos of the DIL status, i get to go through the temperature screening queues, in another lane. (something like priority banking :P) Not much if u can't imagine 20+ people going through the queue, plus an occassional visitor hogging the queue demanding to go in and visit their relatives, but are unable to due to hospital restrictions on H1N1 virus. Some of them stare at me, as i go through in style :)

oh yes, the attached bathroom is my favorite place for now. It has a nice seat which gives u the option of sitting down to bathe :P reminds me of my few months in Japan, where the Japanese sit down to relax and bathe. Though unusual, but its really enjoyable :) i generally spend about one hr each day, while shufen is sleeping.

The doctors and nurses are talking about shifting us out of HD, but are unable to find a suitable place partially due to the H1N1 again :) the isolation and single rooms must be packed with suspect cases.

With all the medications in, the doctors say wait, so we wait. We wait upon the Lord, the author and perfector of our faith. Thanks for supporting us in prayers. We would not have gotten so far without u. You all are truly our family-in-Christ.
