Shalom, have not been blogging for more than a month. So thought of putting down some of our latest happenings.Shufen and baby Jedidiah have kind of settled down to a routine and doing well, and we have started to go back to church for the past 2 wks :) baby Jedi is now almost 8 months old and should be weighing close to 7+ kg now. Should have been 8+ kg by now if he had not caught a bad flu for quite a few wks, which stalled his weight gain. Well it's part and parcel of growing up & baby's way of building up its defences by falling sick & recovering of cos :)Shufen has also started her thrice weekly (Tue, Thu, Sun) dialysis in the private Youngberg Dialysis Centre behind Kovan MRT (behind kovan melody & kovan residences condo, if u are familiar with the place). The nurses there are friendly & nice, & timings can be adjusted slightly to meet our schedules. We are getting to know some of the patients there too. There are also some young ones too (30-40s, so do take care too of ur young body), though most are >50s.One of our regular neighbours (huge American man in 40s) however passed away suddenly last sunday, which saddened us & the nurses. It reminded us too of what the doctor told us, that dialysis too has its certain risks, and that every breath we take is the grace of God.Of course there are happy endings too. If u recall reading in the newspaper of the lady whose blood group was different from the husband, but had the first successful transplant ? She was also a patient here and we met her quite a couple of times. Also a lupus patient and underwent dialysis for almost 13 yrs.oh yes another prayer item is the undergoing insurance claims, that is taking months to be approved. My guess is that the complication comes, as the Lupus flared up during the pregnancy period, so the insurance might deem it as pregnancy complications and argue not to pay. May the Lord grant us find favor in man & provide for us.Agape o:-)
